Aryabharathi polytechnic was established in the year 1983, by the Aryan High School Association ®. It is located in the serene surroundings of heart of Tumukuru city. Tumakuru is a smart city just 70 kms from Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka state. The campus is spread over an area of 4acres and located just 2kms from the city bus stand and railway station and easily accessible by local buses and autorickshaws.

The polytechnic presently offers diploma programs in 7 disciplines as mentioned below--
1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Electronics & Communication Engineering
3. Computer Science & Engineering
4. Civil Engineering
5. Electrical & Electronics Engineering
6. Automobile Engineering
7. Apparel Design & Fabrication Technology

Each department has well-furnished classrooms with excellent laboratory facilities. The Polytechnic has a well stacked central library with nearly 15000 books including journals and technical magazines. The Polytechnic also has full-fledged computer laboratories with 2Mbps internet connectivity. The campus houses an uninterrupted electric power supply with 100KVA silent diesel genset to run the laboratories/workshops in case of power failure.

As part of the curriculum requirements and in compliance with the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Karnataka, the following committees have been set up and are fully functional—
* Students Grievance Redressal Committee
* Anti-Ragging Committee

The Polytechnic has a separate Placement Cell for facilitating internships and carrying out placement activities for our students during their course of study in our campus. Various departments have tie-ups with local industries facilitated through the placement cell, for arranging industry visits, technical talks by experts drawn from the industry, thereby exposing our students to industry practices.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has also been set up to monitor the quality issues related to academics particularly attainment levels of course outcomes, program outcomes, program specific outcomes and program educational objectives of various departments in the polytechnic.

It is gratifying to note that many of our alumni are working in highly responsible positions in technical institutions, industries and R & D centers not only in our country but also in other parts of the world.
